Meet the Board

  • Martin Smith is a licensed professional engineer with over 20 years of experience in land development, stormwater management, and the permitting processes associated with land development. Mr. Smith utilized his professional experience during his 9 year tenure on the Lehigh Valley Academy Board of Trustees. As Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Smith assisted in guiding LVA through the process of finding their "Forever Home". Mr. Smith's daughter attended LVA from kindergarten through 12th grade.

  • Kelly serves as the Chairman of the LVA Education Foundation, where she leverages her experience in fundraising, event management, and board leadership to expand opportunities for LVA students and families.

    Her background as a professional performer, model, choreographer, and actress reflects her passion for storytelling through the performing arts and her commitment to making a positive impact within the community.

    Kelly is also the proud mother of a thriving LVA fifth grader, giving her a meaningful personal connection to the school community she serves. Whether performing or leading philanthropic initiatives, she is guided by a dedication to excellence, collaboration, and creating lasting impact.

  • Odessa Langlais serves as the Secretary of the LVA Education Foundation and is the Sales and Marketing Director for Abode Care in Allentown. In her professional role, she is dedicated to connecting families with compassionate, high-quality care solutions and ensuring individuals have access to the support they need to live safely and comfortably at home.

    With a strong background in home and community-based services, Odessa has spent years serving senior citizens throughout Lehigh and Northampton counties, building meaningful relationships and advocating for resources that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life.

    In addition to her professional work, Odessa is an active member of LVAIP (Lehigh Valley Aging in Place) and is a proud LVA parent, with her son currently attending Lehigh Valley Academy and thriving in 6th grade. Through her service with the LVA Education Foundation, she is committed to supporting initiatives that enrich opportunities for LVA students and strengthen the school community.

  • Moses Miller serves as the Treasurer of the LVA Education Foundation Board and is a Detective assigned to the Homicide Task Force for the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office. He previously served as a Detective Sergeant in the Criminal Investigations Division of the City of Bethlehem Police Department, retiring in 2023 after a distinguished career in law enforcement. Prior to his work in policing, Moses served four years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps.

    Through his role as Treasurer, Moses supports initiatives that expand educational opportunities and resources for students at Lehigh Valley Academy. He is a proud father of two children, including a daughter currently in 6th grade at Lehigh Valley Academy and an older son who works for Coca-Cola.
